The incredible sportsman Kasper Asgreen is a professional cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Soudal-Quick-Step. He is a World Champion, a 3x National Time Trail Champion, and the winner of the 2021 edition of the Tour of Flanders. He has also taken part in the Tour de France, and the Vuelta a España.
Born and raised in Denmark, Asgreen grew up with a love for horse riding and took part in dressage as a teenager. Then at the age of 14 he joined his local cycling club and never looked back. In 2014 he joined the amateur team Odder CK, and a year later turned professional when he joined MLP Team Bergstaße. In 2016 he moved teams again, joining Team Waoo, and then began to clock up the wins, which included coming first in the National U-23 Road Championships Time trial. He repeated the feat a year later, as well as coming in first at the UEC European U-23 Road Championships in the Time trial. In 2018 he became a member of Team Quick-Step Floors (later rebranded as Soudal-Quick-Step), and continued to have success at one-day and classic races, including the National Race Championships, and the E3 Saxo Bank Classic.
Asgreen has also represented his native Denmark on the international stage, winning Gold in the Team time trial at the 2018 World Championships, and Silver in the Elite time trial at the 2019 European Championships.
