Professional Czech slalom canoeist Kateřina Kudějová has competed internationally since 2005, winning a collection of medals throughout her career.
Having enjoyed canoeing since a young age, Kudějová began participating at international slalom canoe competitions in 2005 at the age of 15 and currently trains with the USK Praha club. After competing at Junior and U23 championships until 2012, Kudějová quickly racked up and impressive 11 gold medals competing in both K1 and K1 team events. She has since gone on to enjoy a successful sporting career participating at over 30 major slalom championships and world cups, held around the world. At the European Championships, she has won an impressive total of five medals, three bronze and two gold during 2011 in La Seu d’Urgell and again during 2014 in Vienna. As part of the K1 team at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, she has enjoyed winning a further five medals, including two silvers in 2011 Bratislava and 2019 at La Seu d’Urgell, along with three golds during 2013 in Prague and 2015 in London. Having also won a number of individual titles throughout her career at the World Cup, Kudějová has won four bronze medals and three silvers, her first of which was in Penrith, Sydney, Australia during 2010.
A highlight of her career includes her top performance at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Summer Olympic Games, at which Kudějová qualified as part of the K1 event, finishing in an impressive 10th position.
