Keira Christina Knightley was born on March 26, 1985, in Teddington, southwest London, to actor Will Knightley and playwright Sharman Macdonald. Immersed in the acting profession from a young age, she acquired an agent at six and began her career in commercials and small television roles. Her early work included appearances in the TV episode “Royal Celebration” (1993) and the romantic drama “A Village Affair” (1995). Despite being diagnosed with dyslexia at age six, she dedicated herself to overcoming it, becoming a proficient reader by her early teens.
