Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts Kevin Chapman is an American actor known for his action, crime thrillers and obnoxious comedic roles. He is best known for his appearances on Person of Interest, Brotherhood, Rescue Me and the recipient of the Phoenix Film Critics Society Award for Best Ensemble Acting in 21 Grams (2003).
Touring as a stand-up comedian throughout the city of Boston, Chapman was discovered by Ted Demme, for his first acting role Monument Ave. Thus, his whole career timeline transformed him in 1998 as he played Mickey Pat. After his debut in film, Chapman, for thirteen years, never went a year without being on the big screen. He starred in various feature films and television series, such as The Cider House Rules (1999), The Boondock Saints (1999), The Practice (2001), Criminal Minds (2006). Chapman worked his way up the industry ladder, garnering more successful roles as the years passed. In 2006, he obtained his first main character television series in Brotherhood as gang boss Freddie Cork. The hit crime-drama is the recipient of the ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards, Irish Film and Television Awards, Peabody Awards, Prism Awards and Satellite Awards.
After leaving his two season series in 2008, Chapman starred in other recurring television roles such as Golden Globe nominated Rescue Me in 2009 as Terrance, an obnoxious sibling to main character Tommy. In 2011 he accepted the role as Lionel Fusco in Primetime Emmy nominated series Person of Interest. Chapman stayed on the show for five seasons, and after ending his five year reign in 2016 he starred in comedy/drama Good Kids before returning to television. From 2017-2019, he has appeared in Sneaky Pete as Bo Lockley and can now be seen starring in Showtime’s City on a Hill as J.R. Minogue.
