Kevin Dillon

Kevin Brady Dillon was born on August 19, 1965, in New Rochelle, New York, and raised in Mamaroneck, New York. He is the son of Mary Ellen, a homemaker, and Paul Dillon, a portrait painter and sales manager. Dillon is also the brother of actor Matt Dillon. He began his acting career in the 1980s, gaining early recognition for his role as the bully Rooney in the 1985 film “Heaven Help Us.” This was followed by a pivotal role as the psychopathic soldier Bunny in Oliver Stone’s 1986 film “Platoon,” a performance that brought him wider attention in the industry.

Dillon continued to build his filmography with notable roles such as Brian Flagg in the 1988 cult classic “The Blob” and John Densmore in Oliver Stone’s 1991 film “The Doors.” His career expanded into television work throughout the 2000s, including appearances in “That’s Life” and “24.” However, his most significant television role came with the HBO comedy series “Entourage,” where his portrayal of Johnny Drama garnered him three Emmy nominations, a Golden Globe nomination, and three SAG Awards nominations. He reprised this iconic role in the 2015 “Entourage” feature film.

More recently, Dillon has taken on various roles in action films and thrillers, including “Mob Land” (2023) alongside John Travolta, “A Day To Die” (2022), and “Wire Room” (2022) with Bruce Willis. He also appeared in “Hot Seat” (2022) and “On The Line” (2022) with Mel Gibson, demonstrating his versatility across genres. Beyond acting, Dillon co-hosts the podcast “Victory The Podcast” with Kevin Connolly and Doug Ellin, further engaging with his audience and reflecting on his career.
