Kristina Juel Stokkebroe

The graceful Kristina Juel Stokkebroe is a former professional Ballroom dancer, and a 5x World and Blackpool champion. She retired from the dance circuit in 2010, and now works as a coach, hairstylist, and entrepreneur. She is the owner of Gayahair.

Born and raised in Denmark, Stokkebroe began dancing at a young age. By the time she was 14 she had been crowned Junior World champion in Latin and Standard. She continued to compete on the national and international stage and between 1996 and 2000 was a 3x Nordic champion in combined, and a 3x Danish champion in combined. In 2000 she also became the European and World champion in 10 Dances. She then started concentrating more on Latin and in 2004 and 2005 was crowned Nordic and Danish champion respectively.

Together with her partner, Peter, Stokkebroe began to dominate the Latin dance circuit, winning the World championship in 2006, and the European championships consecutively in 2006 and 2007. The couple had married in 2004, and after the 2009 European Championships, took a break from competing. They returned to training after the birth of their son, and won the World Championships in May 2010. They then officially retired from the professional circuit.

Stokkebroe regularly connects with her followers and fans through Instagram, posting pictures and videos of her life around dance and hairstyling. She has an official business website, gayahair.dk.
