Amy Davis is an accomplished American fashion illustrator, filmmaker, and lo-fi musician whose creative talents have garnered international recognition. After earning her BFA in illustration from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, Davis began her professional journey in the arts, showcasing her illustrations in exhibitions worldwide and contributing to various magazines and books. Her work has been featured in Paper magazine, where she wrote and illustrated the popular column “Style Fiends,” and she has been involved in notable projects like the fashion week initiative “Lab Launchpad Lounge.”
Davis’s film career took off in 1990 when she starred in Jon Moritsugu’s film “My Degeneration.” She continued to collaborate with Moritsugu, acting in several of his films, including her standout role as London in “Mod Fuck Explosion” (1994). As a co-writer and cinematographer for “Scumrock” (2002), she showcased her multifaceted talents, culminating in the completion of their film “Pig Death Machine” in 2013 after a decade-long hiatus.
In addition to her film work, Davis has made significant contributions to the music industry. She plays bass and provides vocals for the garage band Low on High, which she co-founded with her husband.
