Kyle Massey is an American actor, rapper and musician best known for his performance as Cory Baxter in popular Disney sitcom That’s So Raven and spin-off Cory in the House. His youthful portrayal of the money-obsessed, cheeky Baxter won him not only a spin-off but the hearts of millions. Georgia-born Massey is a natural performer and forms the rap duo The Massey Boyz with brother Christopher Massey, of Zoey 101 fame.
Prior to his That’s So Raven success, Massey appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie Life Is Ruff as Calvin Wheeler, also lending his voice to its soundtrack on the song It’s a Dog. His glowing career was kick-started with dozens of on-screen television performances, including The Parkers, The District, The Practice, American Dragon: Jake Long and Fish Tale. Following his breakout as Baxter, Massey appeared in PBS children’s educational show The Electric Company as PJ Watson, Fish Hooks as Milo, Gotham, Ripped, Bad Company, I Got the Hook Up 2, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Massey has also featured as a recording artist for both Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records and appears on the Disney Channel Holiday and Shaggy Dog soundtracks. Performing under the moniker Massey, he featured on rapper Skate’s song Verse in 2016. A multi-disciplinary performer, Massey partnered with Lacey Schwimmer on ABC’s Dancing with the Star’s 11th series, cha-cha-ing the pair to second place. Later, the duo performed in the show’s live Las Vegas show.
Today, his Disney Channel and successive fame has led Massey to amass a dedicated fan base; with a million followers on Instagram and TikTok combined, Massey continues to be his cheeky, fun-loving self, delivering quality original music and comedy skits to the masses, securing ambassador deals with major brands. With a major motion picture set for release, Massey is only getting started.
