Anthony Costa is an English singer-songwriter, best known for his work in boy band Blue – who represented the UK at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf with the song “I Can”, and have sold 15 million records worldwide – as well as the artists contribution to the popular I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! franchise, appearing in the fifth series of the British version. As part of Blue, Costa has worked with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Lil’ Kim, with Blue’s debut single reaching Number 4 in the UK charts, and the band going on to tour all across the Globe.
Since Blue, Costa has also embarked on a solo career, similar to band mate Duncan James, releasing his debut solo single called Do You Ever Think Of Me which peaked at a phenomenal nineteen on the UK Singles Chart; he created the track with fellow songwriter John McLaughlin. Costa went on to perform the single live with Scottish session musician Paul Boyd, which attracted the attention of prestigious lifestyle magazine, Cosmopolitan. Cosmopolitan then went on to commiss Costa, along with stars such as Ronan Keating, Danny Dyer and Craig Doyle, to pose for the magazines 10 Years of Naked Male Centrefolds. Costa has also had a successful string of acting features, appearing in popular shows such as Casualty, British classic Grange Hill and appearing as a guest star on several shows such as Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Dancing on Ice.
Costa is also a devoted family man, sharing pictures of his family including two young girls on his instagram, as well as of his fitness journey to over 55 thousand followers. The star is also a dedicated fan of football, commentating particularly on Tottenham Hotspur games. Recently, Costa has built up such a reputation for his commentating skills that he has been invited onto several radio shows such as Last Word on Spurs to discuss his critical and impassioned opinions.
