Innovation leader, author and keynote speaker Lindsay Herbert is the Senior Technical Leader and Inventor at information tech giant IBM. As an expert in her field of digital transformation, Herbert leads major projects all over the world across every organisational sector and has the ability to consistently find solutions to the industries major challenges. Her ground-breaking work involves working closely with start-ups, testing brand new technologies, launching pilots and forging cross-sector collaborations.
One of the major inventions by Lindsay is IBM’s Instant Checkout, a revolutionary structure that has the ability to detect a shop item without having to scan each individual item; which in turn produces fast, safe and secure payments.
Herbert wrote the internationally published Bloomsbury business book Digital Transformation in 2017, which received an abundance of international praise. As an expert in innovation, Lindsay states in her book that true ‘digital transformation’ need only happen once; that the key is about being more adaptive to change itself. Such adaptations can be achieved from simple changes, such as transforming a company’s culture and everyday methods of working, rather than forcing complex technical solutions onto an organisation. Herbert is also co-chair for the BIMA Tech council, as well as being a Governor on the Museum of London Board.
