Lisa Appleton is a reality TV star known mostly for her appearance on the 9th series of Big Brother and her marriage to fellow reality TV star, and housemate Mario Marconi. Having been uniquely picked to enter the Big Brother house, Appleton gained overnight success and fame. Bombarded with magazine and photoshoot deals she rose to stardom appearing in several popular reality TV shows such as Celeb Air, Snog Marry Avoid, and When Celebrity Goes Horrible. Appleton’s iconic moment was when Marconi proposed during an episode of Big Brother, gaining them both quite the following.
The body builder and fitness fanatic born in Warrington, broke her way on to British TV in 2006, appearing on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Big Brother spin offs: Little Brother and Big Mouth, and 8 out of 10 cats.
She is a published author of her cookbook ‘Cook with Lisa: Essential budget cooking’ with both physical and kindle copies at a 5 star rating, Appleton also collaborates with the Daily Star as one of their columnists, and has her very own podcast hosted on Spotify with co-host Bryn Hammond. Her entrepreneurial endeavours as well as her bubbly, and charming personality have captured her a reach of 40,000 followers.
