Luc Violette is a respected American curler from Edmonds in Washington. One of the best young curlers of his generation, he is already a five-time United States Junior Champion, and a recipient of a silver medal at both the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics and the 2017 World Junior Curling Championships. Since aging out of junior competitions in the 2018/19 season, Violette has skipped his own team since then, something which has done wonders for his confidence as a leader in the sport.
Violette was first introduced to the sport of curling at the tender age of 11, and has since become one of the brightest prospects in American curling. He saw his first major victory in 2014 when he first won the United States Curling Championships. Violette’s more recent achievements include bronze medals at both the 2021 United States National Championships and United States Mixed Doubles Championship. He also recently secured a silver medal at the illustrious Winter Universiade tournament in Saranac Lake in New York State.
The son of a famous two-time national champion curler, Tom Violette, it’s no wonder he possesses the talent he does. Violette is still early in his career, but has already made quite the impression among curling fans both in America and the rest of the world. He is set to become one of the best players in the game over the coming years, and it will be hugely exciting to see how his career develops.
