Young Luke Eisner is an emerging actor, musician, model, and influencer. His breakthrough came with his second screen role, playing Stig Mohlin, the romantic lead in the 2019 Netflix teen comedy movie Tall Girl. The movie was a huge hit, being watched 41 million times within a month of its release. Before that, however, Eisner was already established as a fashion model and one half of Anglo-American pop-rock duo VOILA, who had first been touted for success in 2018 and released their debut album, Long Story Short, in 2020.
Eisner was born in Wisconsin in 1996. After fronting local pop-punk bands during his teens, he studied at the Thornton School of Music where he met a talented Londoner called Gus Ross. The pair formed a band, first called Goldilocks after their signature long blonde hair, before changing their name to VOILA and adopting a distinctive pop-rock sound. They released their first singles in 2018, both of which were picked up by the BBC in Ross’s native England. DJs marked them out as an act worth watching, something that literally came true in Eisner’s case when he was cast in Tall Girl the following year. His only previous acting experience had been portraying Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando in an episode of The Goldbergs, but Tall Girl proved a huge success (and also featured a VOILA song on the soundtrack).
Eisner continues to make music with VOILA, act (most notably in the EKO sci-fi series Timeline), and model for major international brands, including H&M, Calvin Klein, and Ralph Lauren.
