American Actress, writer, producer and director, Marla Sokoloff is known for her much-loved characters on a host of popular TV series.
Passionate about music and theatre since her childhood, Sokoloff studied at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Her acting career took off at the age of just 12 when she landed the role of Gia on the cult classic sitcom Full House. Sokoloff went on to appear extensively in a host of TV series including Home Improvement, Party of Five, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Over the Top and 7th Heaven. In 1998 Sokoloff landed her next regular role when she took on the part of Lucy Hatcher in the popular legal drama, The Practice. Since then Sokoloff has made appearances on Friends, Desperate Housewives, Modern Men, CSI: NY, Grey’s Anatomy, followed most recently by her return as Gia in the revival of Fuller House. Following her film debut during 1993 in So I Married an Axe Murderer, Sokoloff starred in films including The Baby-Sitters Club, Dude, Where’s My Car? Whatever It Takes and Love on the Side. Having become a familiar face across American TV, Sokoloff has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Entertainment Tonight and most recently the Andrea Barber Vlog.
Alongside her acting work, Sokoloff has embarked on many projects, including writer and director of the 2018 short Preschool in L.A., Director of the TV film Christmas Hotel and writer, producer and director for the 2020 short Home, But Not Alone.
