American singer and actress, Mecca Morgan-White, is also aiming to be a director and producer. Mecca was born in Los Angeles in 1995. She got a degree in Film, Cinema and Video Studies from the Los Angeles Film School in 2016. She is also a New York Film academy alumna, and has studied with The Londong Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, The Groundlings and the Sanford Meisner Center. Soon after graduating, Mecca wrote, directed and starred in the comedic TV pilot Juice Truck. Mecca also starred in one of the short film Carousel, directed by Joseph Morgan. Her passion for creating art through filmmaking allowed her to easily integrate in the world of film and laughter. Mecca explained during the Westfield International Film Festival that for her short film was inspired by the sitcom Broad City. Directing is one of the hardest jobs she has ever set her mind into doing. According to Mecca, working with students can be very challenging and demanding. However, when she sees the final product, she always feels inspired to do more and understand that the entire struggle is in fact worth it. Apart from her passion for filmmaking, acting and singing, Mecca is also committed and passionate about content making.
