Following his impactful role opposite Angela Bassett in the 1995 film ‘Waiting to Exhale,’ Michael Beach went on to build an extensive career across film and television. A graduate of The Juilliard School of Drama, Beach made his big screen debut in 1987 in ‘End of the Line.’ He steadily built his filmography, co-starring in films such as ‘Internal Affairs’ (1990), ‘One False Move’ (1992), ‘True Romance’ (1993), and Robert Altman’s acclaimed ‘Short Cuts’ (1993). In 1997, he further demonstrated his range with another impactful role in the critically praised film ‘Soul Food.’ On television, Beach gained significant recognition with a recurring role as Al Boulet in the NBC medical drama ‘ER’ from 1995 to 1997. From 1999 to 2005, Beach was a main cast member on NBC’s ‘Third Watch,’ where he portrayed FDNY paramedic Monte ‘Doc’ Parker.
