Internationally renowned comedian, actor, writer, and podcaster Michael Blaustein has built a massive reputation for himself, particularly in the world of American comedy. He is perhaps currently best known for co-hosting the Stiff Socks podcast with Trevor Williams, which has been ranked in the Top 50 podcasts on both Spotify and iTunes—an incredible achievement when one considers that everyone seems to have a podcast these days! He also appeared as a field agent in several episodes of the hit US prank show Punk’d and has performed on several major stand-up tours, including the Comedy Central on Campus Tour, College Humor Tour, and The Oddball Comedy Fest. In 2019, he wrote, produced, directed, and starred in his first feature-length film, UP There.
Blaustein is based in Los Angeles and enjoys a hyperactive schedule, with Stiff Socks, live tours, and writing for television all vying for his attention. He is also popular on social media, most notably Instagram where he has over 70,000 followers and regularly posts stand-up snippets. He also has a YouTube channel that has nearly 15,000 subscribers and over 400,000 views. Stiff Socks, in which he and fellow comedian Trevor Williams “go do stuff and talk about it every Wednesday”, also has an Instagram account that boasts over 60,000 followers. The show is fast approaching its 150th episode and is becoming increasingly popular.
With stand-up comedy back on the agenda after the pandemic, Blaustein was back on the boards at the first opportunity with an American tour that took in everywhere from Oregon to Texas.
