Tra’Mese or Missy Byrd is best known for her time spent on the hit reality series Survivor: Island Of The Idols, rising through the contestants as a strategic powerhouse and formidable contender for the winning spot and making it to the final eleven before being eliminated from the show. She was a firm fan favourite throughout the show, and has maintained her solid fan base even after leaving the island.
This Georgia native originally came from the Air Force, enlisting at just eighteen years old and even playing for the Air Force Academy’s basketball team in Colorado Springs despite suffering with serious health concerns at the time. It was Byrd’s serious brush with death that made her decide to apply to appear on Survivor, and she hasn’t looked back since. She eventually became a contestant after being accepted a day after her audition tape was sent in, and so became the youngest member of her original Lairo tribe and the youngest woman to compete on the Island Of The Idols. Even though she didn’t win, Byrd is still very much involved in the franchise, and along with nineteen other former contestants, she competed in the second Survivor-themed competition of Sequester in 2020.
When not battling it out against her fellow competitors, Byrd loves to travel, always trying to find the most economical way to get the most out of her holidays, and together with her partner, she has recently settled in beautiful Milan.
