Mo Mandel is a prolific American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer. Since making his first screen appearances in the late 2000s, he has covered a staggering amount of ground, acting in shows such as Golden Revenge, Free Agents, and Love Bites; appearing as a guest or panellist on the likes of Chelsea Lately, How to Be a Grown-up, and Barmageddon; and plying his stand-up on major shows, including Conan and Craig Ferguson. He also created the series Comedy Knockout, produced several episodes of Barely Famous, and has also produced two stand-up specials: Negative Reinforcement and a Comedy Central Presents episode.
Unsurprisingly for someone so active in the world of American television, Mandel is currently based in Hollywood. But he is also a busy live performer and has toured all over the states and regularly performs at the Los Angeles Comedy Store. He is one of the more popular stand-up comics on social media—he has over 24,000 Twitter followers, over 6,000 Instagram followers, and over 1,000 subscribers to his official YouTube channel. His most popular stand-up clip is currently a Just for Laughs excerpt called ‘Jew in Germany’, which has been watched over 300,000 times.
Among Mandel’s most recent television projects is Smalltown Throwdown, a special that he created for The Discovery Channel in 2020. He has also become a popular guest on various podcasts, with the likes of Behind the Funny, Gutting the Sacred Cow, and Mindful Madness all asking him to join them and provide his professional, and hilarious, insight into the world of American comedy.
