About

Maneepat Myra Molloy, born on September 18, 1997, in Bangkok, Thailand, to a Thai mother and an American father, began her musical journey at a young age. She started playing the violin at five and later switched to the viola, also participating in school orchestras and choirs. Her early fascination with musical theatre, particularly “The Phantom of the Opera” during frequent visits to New York City, influenced her path. At 13, Myra gained national recognition in 2011 by winning the first season of ‘Thailand’s Got Talent,’ performing classical crossover pieces. This victory provided a foundation for her career in the arts.

Following her win, Molloy performed with the Siam Sinfonietta Orchestra and Bangkok Opera, and at various significant events including The Thai National Film Awards and corporate engagements for brands such as Rolls-Royce, Samsung, Johnson & Johnson, and Shiseido. In 2012, she secured her first major theatrical role as the young Reya in ‘Reya the Musical.’ Her career expanded internationally, performing in Paris, China, Singapore, Thailand, and the United States, singing in multiple languages across classical, pop, musical theatre, and jazz genres. In 2014, Molloy was a Top 6 finalist on ABC’s ‘Rising Star’ in the USA, further establishing her presence in the American entertainment industry.

Myra Molloy continued her education at Berklee College of Music, graduating summa cum laude with a major in singing and songwriting. She voiced Moana in the Thai versions of Walt Disney Studios’ animated films “Moana” (2016) and “Moana 2” (2024). Her theatrical career progressed with roles such as an alternate for Kim in the 2018-2019 US Broadway Tour of ‘Miss Saigon.’ On screen, she appeared in HBO Asia’s “Halfworlds II” (2016), Freeform’s “The Bold Type” (2020), and Netflix’s “He’s All That” (2021). On May 6, 2025, Molloy made her Broadway debut as Eurydice in ‘Hadestown’ at the Walter Kerr Theatre, becoming the first Thai woman to lead a Broadway production.
