Prolific Australian actor Nathan Jones is a powerlifting champion, strongman and former WWE professional wrestler. He is well known as “Megaman” from his days in the strongman competition days for his imposing height and remarkable strength. But it is perhaps his short-lived career at WWE that fans remember him for the most. While there, Jones aligned himself with The Undertaker and became synonymous with the SmackDown brand. Born and raised in Victoria, Queensland, Jones grew up surrounded by sporting greatness. As Jones set his sight on proving himself in the field, he won big competitions such as the Highland Games World Strongman Challenge. From there, he would take the leap and sign to WWE, and the rest is history.
Making the transition from professional wrestler to actor came naturally for Jones. But it was his chance encounter with legendary martial arts icon Jackie Chan that turned the tide and landed him his big break in First Strike. Since then, Jones has starred in a plethora of roles, including Boagrius in Troy, Hercules O’Brien in Fearless and the infamous Ricus Erectus in the Oscar award-winning film Mad Max: Fury Road. Whether he’s facing off alongside Jason Momoa in Conan The Barbarian or playing the protector Golem in Scorpion King: Book of Souls, Jones never shies away from playing intense, intimidating roles. With a range of projects in the works, such as Reiko in Mortal Kombat and Bronte in Valeria 3D, Jones will be entertaining audiences for years to come.
