The beautiful, and amazing Nikki M James is an award-winning actress and singer of stage and screen, best known for her performances in the musicals Les Misérables, and The Book of Mormon, and for her main role in the popular legal drama, Proven Innocent.
Born and raised in New Jersey, James had a love for performing from a young age and she sang and acted in church and in school productions. She was nominated for a Rising Star Award at Paper Mill Playhouse while she was in High School, and then later attended the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She made her Broadway debut in the 2001 production of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and went on to feature and star in numerous stage productions, including The Wiz, Romeo and Juliet (with Christopher Plummer), The Book of Mormon (for which she won the 2011 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical), and Les Misérables. As well as forging a successful career on the stage, she started acting in TV and films, making her TV debut in 2001 in the crime drama Third Watch, and her movie debut in 2005’s Pizza. She has since gone on to star and feature in such programmes and films as The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, Lucky Stiff, Law & Order, The Good Wife, BrainDead, Proven Innocent, and Severance.
