Odile Van Aanholt is an Olympic gold medalist and world champion sailor, recognized for her achievements in the 49er FX class. After becoming the South American Optimist champion in 2013, Odile Van Aanholt quickly demonstrated her elite potential in competitive sailing, securing second place at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games. Van Aanholt subsequently honed her skills in the high-performance 49erFX class, initially partnering with Marieke Jongens, and underwent intensive training which included preparation in the Persico 69F for the 2021 Youth America’s Cup in Auckland. This foundational period laid the groundwork for her significant ascent in international competition.
Van Aanholt consistently represents the Netherlands in multiple international competitions, contributing significantly to her country’s esteemed reputation in sailing and affirming her standing as a top-tier athlete and a recognized world champion within the global sailing community.
