Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth was born on August 23, 1981, in Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. He relocated to the United States as a child, settling in Mountain View, California, with his family. After high school, he attended Santa Barbara City College for two years before moving to the Los Angeles area. His public career began with his participation in reality television.

Lusth gained prominence as a contestant on “Survivor: Cook Islands” in 2006, where he finished as the runner-up. He returned for subsequent seasons, including “Survivor: Micronesia” (2008), “Survivor: South Pacific” (2011), and “Survivor: Game Changers” (2017). Across these appearances, he was recognized for his physical abilities in challenges. Beyond “Survivor,” Lusth also competed on the second season of “American Ninja Warrior” and appeared in the Playboy reality series, “Foursome,” and acted in a 2009 film titled “The Lights.

His career progression on “Survivor” highlights his consistent presence in the show’s history, earning him significant fan recognition. In 2011, he was inducted into Xfinity’s “Survivor” “Hall of Fame.” Lusth holds the record for the most merge appearances in “Survivor” history, reaching the merge four times. He also holds the record for the most times eliminated from the game, with five separate instances. His participation on the show culminated in a record for time spent as an active contestant, accumulating 128 days.
