Renaud Jay was born on August 12, 1991, in Moûtiers, France. He competed for the CLUB DES SPORTS LES MENUIRES – DOUANES. His career in cross-country skiing saw him participate in numerous prestigious events. He made his debut in the World Cup circuit and consistently demonstrated his abilities in various sprint disciplines.
Throughout his career, he achieved significant milestones, including a bronze medal at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 2023 for team sprint. He also secured an individual podium placement in the World Cup during the 2019–20 season, finishing 3rd in a 0.7 km Sprint F stage race in Åre, Sweden. Jay also contributed to two team sprint victories in the World Cup in Dresden, Germany (2020) and Livigno, Italy (2023).
Jay represented France at the Olympic Games, competing in the men’s sprint event. He participated in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, where he placed 14th, and again in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where he finished 27th. His consistent performance in sprint events established him as a competitive athlete in the international cross-country skiing scene.
