Benjamin Toniutti is a highly accomplished French volleyball player and national team captain, known for his distinguished career as a setter. After becoming captain of the French national team in 2013, Benjamin Toniutti quickly established himself as a dominant setter, leading his squad to a resurgence marked by multiple major titles. Prior to his captaincy, Toniutti honed his skills during a four-year tenure with Arago de Sète from 2009 to 2013. His leadership on the national stage culminated in securing two FIVB World League titles in 2015 and 2017, alongside a European Championship victory in 2015, solidifying France’s position as a powerhouse in international volleyball.
Toniutti’s club career has seen him excel across several top European leagues. Following his time in France, he moved to Italy to play for CMC Ravenna in the 2013-2014 season, followed by a brief but impactful stint with Zenit Kazan in 2014. In 2015, he joined VfB Friedrichshafen, where he immediately contributed to winning both the German Cup and Championship. From 2015 to 2021, Toniutti was a cornerstone player for Poland’s ZAKSA K?dzierzyn-Ko?le, where he achieved significant domestic success with multiple Polish Championship titles (2015-16, 2016-17, 2018-19) and Polish Cup victories (2016-17, 2018-19, 2020-21).
