The legendary Robbie Rist is an actor, musician, singer, and voice-over artist, who has been working in the entertainment industry since the age of nine. He started his career as a child actor on the TV Series The Brady Bunch, but was more widely recognised for his voice performance as Michaelangelo in the 1990 Hollywood action movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He is also known for his quirky songs that are used in the Sharknado movies.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Rist had a passion for acting and singing from early childhood, and he made his debut in 1972 at the age of nine in an episode of Love, American Style. But it was when he was cast as Cousin Oliver in the hit comedy series The Brady Bunch two years later that his career really began. Along with his journey in acting, he also took an interest in music, taking private lessons in singing, guitar, and drums. He continued acting, appearing in countless iconic shows as a child, then a teenager and into adulthood, including Petrocelli, The Bionic Woman, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Battlestar Galactica 1980, CHiPs, Knight Rider, and The Love Boat. He played Milo in the box-office smash action film Iron Eagle in 1986, and then in 1990 he was cast as the voice of Michaelangelo in the big screen version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. His career continued successfully into the 21st century, with more and more voice work, in film, TV and video games making up his credits, including the 2017 game Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, and the 2020 podcast series Carcerem.
Rist regularly connects with his followers and fans through Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, posting pictures and videos about his life around entertainment.
