Rodney Pryor is an American basketball player currently starring as a guard for the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G League. He signed with the team after a successful college career with the Robert Morris University Colonials in Pennsylvania, during which he led the team to championship victory and was named the NEC Tournament’s Most Valuable Player. He is also the founder of Identity Made, an athletics apparel clothing line.
Pryor was born in 1992 in Evanston, Illinois. He attended Notre Dame Prep School the state before signing a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with Robert Morris University in 2014. He enjoyed a prolific career with the Colonials, winning various honours, including being picked for the National Association of Basketball Coaches District 18 Second Team. At the end of his senior year, he led his championship-winning team in both scoring and rebounding (in the former, he was the NEC’s second overall). He also left RMU with a degree in Organisational Leadership.
After graduating, Pryor made his professional basketball debut with Turkish side Sakarya BSB in the country’s top tier. After a season with them, he returned to America and the Sioux Fall Sky Force. Following spells with the Windy City Bulls and Raptors 905, he settled down at the Salt Lake City Stars.
