Ryan Merriman is an actor who has made his career doing commercials, print work, vocal performances, and local theater in Oklahoma before moving into film and television work at the tender age of 10. He is best known for a handful of Disney Channel original movies and for portraying Jake Pierce in “The Ring Two,” Kevin Fischer in “Final Destination 3,” and Ian Thomas in “Pretty Little Liars.” On the silver screen Merriman has appeared alongside several notable actors including Harrison Ford in the film “42,” Michelle Pfeiffer in “Deep End of the Ocean,” and Jamie Lee Curtis, Tyra Banks, Busta Rhymes in “Halloween: Resurrection.”
“Comanche Moon,” a 6-hour mini-series starring Val Kilmer, Karl Urban, Steve Zahn, Rachel Griffiths, Linda Cardellini, and Graham Greene, is one of his television credits. Merriman has also appeared in Lifetime’s “Dangerous Child,” “Backwoods,” “Rocket’s Red Glare,” “Luck of the Irish,” “Smart House,” “Ring of Endless Light,” Hallmark’s “Night Ride Home,” “Lansky,” and “Everything That Rises,” as well as Hallmark’s “Night Ride Home,” “Lansky,” and “Everything That Rises.” He even appeared in Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi film “Taken” on the Sci-Fi Channel.
At Movieline’s Hollywood Life’s 7th Annual Young Hollywood Awards, Merriman received the “One to Watch” award. He’s also been nominated for the “Young Artist Award of Hollywood” eight times and has won six times. Merriman has also been nominated for the Hollywood Reporter’s “YoungStar Award” five times.
