Dedicated and motivated young athlete Sinclaire Johnson is the 2019 NCAA 1500m champion, and was 4th at the 2019 USA Championships. She has a personal best time of 2:00.43 in the 800m, and 4:03.72 in the 1500m, the two events she specialises in. She recently moved to Portland to train with the Bowerman Track Club, and is sponsored by Nike.
Johnson hails from Longwood, Florida, and fell into cross-country running when she was staying in shape for the Lacrosse season while at High School. She qualified for State competitions so decided to hang up her Lacrosse stick and take to Track & Field full-time. She continued to run and compete while attending Oklahoma State University from 2016-2019, and turned professional after graduating. She remained in Stillwater to continue to be coached by her collegiate mentor Dave Smith, training towards the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and then finally made the move to Portland to join the ultra-elite Bowerman TC squad under coach Jerry Schumacher.
The affable and open Johnson regularly connects with her dedicated followers via Twitter and Instagram, posting videos and pictures of her latest training sessions and achievements both on and off the track.
