Sol Romero

Sol Romero, born in Mexico City, developed an early interest in art, acting, and singing. She spent her formative years between Mexico City and Switzerland, with a period in San Miguel de Allende. Her career in entertainment began fortuitously during the production of Robert Rodriguez’s film “Once Upon a Time in Mexico.” While on set in San Miguel de Allende, she worked as a camera double for Eva Mendes. This early exposure led her to formally pursue acting, studying at the RADA Academy in London.

Her acting career includes appearances in various notable films. She was uncredited in “The Legend of Zorro” (2005) and “Casino Royale” (2006). She played a hospital nurse in “Edge of Darkness” (2010), a waitress in “Memory” (2022), and is set to appear as Halina in “Cleaner” (2025). In television, she played Paquita Guerrero in 12 episodes of the TV series “Kachorra” in 2002. Beyond acting, Sol Romero is also an international recording artist. Her music career advanced with the release of her single “Turn It Up” in 2015, which reached the top ten on the Swiss music charts. This was followed by “Money Makes the World Go Round,” featuring French Montana, and a full-length album of the same title in 2016. She also performed “Bodega de Lingotes” as a soundtrack artist for the film “Memory” (2022).

Romero’s personal life includes her marriage to director Martin Campbell since October 6, 2006, with whom she has three children. She has shared insights into her experiences in the entertainment industry, emphasizing the importance of diversity and perseverance.
