Swiss Mexican beauty Solveig Ellinor Campbell Romero, simply known as Sol Romero, has been singing since the age of 13 and acting since the age of 15. She has studied at some of the world’s most prestigious schools and worked all over the world. Originally born in Mexico City to a Mexican father and Swiss mother, the family moved to San Miguel de Allende where Sol made her screen debut in 1999 in the cult movie Once Upon a Time in Mexico as a double.
In 2004 Sol landed a role on The Legend of Zorro. Soon after this shel packed her bags and set off for London where she studied at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, honing her skills and stoking her creative fire. Following her studies, the talented actress set off once more, this time for the big lights, Los Angeles. The same year she arrived in Hollywood Sol not only got married to director Martin Campbell but also scored a role on the James Bond blockbuster, Casino Royale.
In 2007 Sol performed several times at the Howard Fine Studio. That year she also starred in her first short film, My Name is Arlein, shot in her mother’s native land, Switzerland. 2008 marked the year that Sol finally felt ready to come back to her music and singing. That year she wrote and recorded Running and Missing You. The musician shot and released her first music video in 2011 for the song BiPolar Love. On a roll, she released her second music video later that year for Y Did You Leave. Whilst in Switzerland shooting the latter Sol met Swiss musician Florian Ast, with whom she recorded and produced multiple songs. In 2013 she received an Honorable Mention at the 23rd Annual LA Music Awards.
