Stephen Wilkes is an American photographer, photojournalist, director, and fine artist known for his breathtaking images that explore the intersection of humanity and nature. He was born in 1957, and he grew up in Westchester County, New York. From a young age, Wilkes showed a deep passion for photography, and by the time he was sixteen, he had set up his own darkroom in his family’s basement.
