Steve Burley is best known for being a cast member on the seventh series of reality dating show Married at First Sight.
Burley shot to fame as a contestant on popular reality show Married at First Sight, in which Australian singles agree to marry a match chosen for them based on the advice of relationship experts. The social experiment was designed to show whether compatibility matters more than physical attraction, and has become hugely popular around the world. Burley was chosen to appear on season seven of the programme, and is a British expat who runs a barbershop in Melbourne. The self-made businessman arrived in Australia with just a suitcase and the dream of owning his own hair salon and has now owned his own business for nearly 20 years. Business has been booming since he appeared on Married at First Sight, with customers queuing up to get a cut at the now famous shop. Although he and his partner didn’t stay together on the show, Burley is still hopeful about his search for love and is no stranger to overcoming challenges in his life. He is a cancer survivor, having had treatment for testicular cancer eight years ago.
With an appearance on First Dates as well as Married at First Sight under his belt, Burley is now known across Australia and the world as a truly eligible bachelor on his search for the one. He makes regular public appearances and works as an ambassador for children’s charity Help for Hirschsprung Disease.
