Tabatha Coffey is an Australian hairdresser, salon owner, and television personality. In the United States, her debut on the television show Shear Genius propelled her to fame. She auditioned for the program out of curiosity, and she quickly earned a reputation for her fury and feistiness. Coffey was a front-runner in the game for the duration of her time there, winning the bulk of the tasks, but she was eliminated in the sixth episode. She was chosen the show’s Fan Favorite and won $10,000 as a result.
In 2008, Bravo approached Coffey about appearing in Tabatha’s Salon Takeover, a reality program in which she utilizes her hairdressing and business skills to salvage businesses on the verge of closing. Tabatha Takes Over was the title of the fourth season of the show, and she used the same tactics to rejuvenate a variety of businesses, including pubs and restaurants. She’s also been on Season 2 of Make Me a Supermodel, The Tyra Banks Show as a member of Banks’ “Glam Squad,” and Tim Gunn’s The Biggest Loser, where she offered makeovers to the contestants. In 2018, Bravo launched Tabatha Coffey’s Relative Success with Tabatha, in which she uses her business skills to help struggling families improve their lives.
Coffey has been in a long-term relationship and is openly homosexual. Coffey, who lost her mother to cancer in 2010, creates wigs for children who are afflicted with the disease. She’s also involved with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which launched in 2011 and raises cash for children’s cancer research through global head-shaving events.
