Television personality Bruno Duarte rose to fame as a breakout star on Bravo reality TV show Below Deck. After joining the cast of the hit show as a deck hand in 2017, he enjoyed unparalleled success during his stay on the Valor and became a firm fan favourite.

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Duarte suffered a traumatic childhood. He became a father figure for his family after his father became abusive and the sad loss of his twin brother. Determined to succeed in life, Duarte began to focus on his career path as he got older and began working hard as a waiter in five-star hotels and restaurants. He then took his passion for hospitality to the sea and began working on cruise ships, first becoming an officer in guest relations and guest services before taking his skills to the world of luxury yachting. After mastering his deckhand responsibilities on Below Deck whilst also winning the hearts of viewers, he was appointed as Chief Steward on the Skyfall UK just two years after leaving the show in July 2019.

A phenomenal cook and attentive deckhand, Duarte has seen both his professional and personal lives reach new heights in recent years. In 2017 he announced his engagement to Jose Lopes, and the couple took social media by storm with their “Future Husbands” account. Duarte remains one of the favourite deckhands of Below Deck fans, who hope he will make a surprise appearance back on the show in the future.
