Taylor Nolan was a contestant on The Bachelor’s twenty-first season. In week 5, she was voted off, but returned for the fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise, which she won. During the latter competition, Taylor met Derek Peth, who ultimately proposed to her at the Bachelor in Paradise reunion show, which she accepted. On June 26, 2018, they declared their breakup. Reflecting on her experiences, Taylor came to the conclusion that the show is a step back for women. On a more positive note, she made several friendships with fellow female contestants, including Vanessa Grimaldi.
Nolan earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Stevenson University, where she was a member of the Dean’s List and the Psi Chi International Honors Society, and went on to John Hopkins University to earn her master’s degree in mental health therapy. After working at Key Point Health Services Inc., Nolan joined Counseling Ordinary Courage in Seattle as a mental health counsellor. Nolan is also a licensed QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper.
Nolan hosts a podcast called “Talking with Taylor”, in which she doesn’t offer advice but instead shares her daily thoughts in the hopes that it will help anyone who is going through a difficult time. Outside of her work, Nolan helps out at homeless shelters and also finds time to go hiking, cheer for her favourite Seattle sports teams, and paddle board.
