Virtuoso drummer Tony Royster Jr. is a former child prodigy who has refined himself into one of the most gifted and talented drummers in the world. Royster has played over 100 shows with megastar Charlie Puth, toured with pop icon Katy Perry on WITNESS:The Tour and accompanied American rap star Mac Miller at Coachella. He has also worked with Joss Stone, Joe Jonas, Jay-Z, En Vogue and many more. The drumming sensation has been given numerous endorsement deals with brands including Warner Bros. Publications, LP percussion, GoPro Cameras and DW Drums.
Royster began playing drums when he was 3 years old, and earned his reputation as a prodigy after taking part in numerous drummer contests and events around the world, including the 1995 Guitar Center National Drum-Off which he won when he was just 11 years old. Four years later he wowed audiences at the age of 15 on the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards show.
Highlights of his illustrious career so far include accompanying Jay-Z at Barack Obama’s inaugural ball and playing Glastonbury Festival. Royster has also released music with his own band and collaborated with Hidden Beach Recordings on the #1 hit Unwrapped Vol. 6: Give the Drummer Some!
