Troy Delmege is the breakout star from Australian reality TV show Married at First Sight. Delmege appeared in season 5 of the programme – which also aired on UK television – and has amassed nearly 90,000 followers on Instagram since appearing on the show and has also featured on The Ellen Show.
A former IT manager, Delmege was also a tennis prodigy in his youth. He made his television debut in 2018 in the fifth season of Married at First Sight on the Nine Network. Viewers become hooked on the show desperately wanting to find out which couples make it to the end. Delmege caused a stir when he split with his partner Ashley Irvin before the end of the show, and further controversy followed when a photograph emerged of him kissing co-star Carly Bowyer. He then went on to date Carly after the show until 2019. Delmege also became famous for his rather aggressive tooth-brushing technique, something he has made fun out of himself for since the show.
After winning over fans of the show and growing an impressive social media following, Delmege now plans to win votes as he begins a career in politics. His passion for the North Sydney area where he lives has inspired him to make the step into politics, and he hopes to build on his connection with younger voters from his online presence and appearance on Married at First Sight.
