Rapper, producer and reality television personality Troyman is a rising star on the scene, and appeared in Netflix’s rap competition show Rhythm + Flow in 2019.
As a teenager, Troyman moved with his mum to Atlanta where he was introduced to the world of hip hop and rap. He spent a lot of time in the studio with his stepfather who was a rapper too, entering local competitions from a young age and being named Atlanta’s best independent artist by MTV at age 16. From there his reputation grew and grew, performing at Wild Out Wednesday’s at BET’s 106 & Park and building up a name for himself in the area. Troyman’s profile really took off when he was selected to appear on TV talent show Rhythm + Flow in 2019, the first ever music competition show dedicated to rap and hip-hop. The programme proved hugely popular with Netflix fans around the world, with judges on the show including global icons like Chance the Rapper and T.I. Troyman became a fan favourite, with many people tipping him to win the first series of the show. He finished as one of the top four, and has since released several records including GODSPEED, Insomniac and Chocolates and Diamonds.
