Tyler Burgess is an American bass guitarist who rose to fame as a member of the band Falling in Reverse. The talented musician’s fame reached a whole new level after joining the band in 2018, and in the following year the video for the band’s 2019 hit ‘Drugs’ went viral, racking up more than 4 million views on YouTube in less than two months. Burgess has a dedicated online following with over 22.6k followers on social media platform Instagram.
Hailing from Canton, Ohio, Burgess is from a musical family and his brother Jerry Lee is a talented drummer. Burgess relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada when he was 16 years old and in 2014 joined Californian gothic rock band New Years Day as rhythm guitarist. Bassist Anthony Barro left the band in 2015 and Burgess stepped in on bass guitar, also providing backing vocals.
Burgess left New Years Day later in 2015, after establishing his reputation as one of California’s best bass guitarists. Three years later he was invited to join Falling In Reverse by frontman Ronnie Radke, and Burgess went on to share the success of the band’s gold-certified debut album The Drug In Me and the tour that followed.
In 2020 Radke announced the tragic death of band member Derek Jones, an event which had a deeply profound effect on Burgess. In 2021 Burgess left the band, ready to pursue new adventures in the music business and beyond.
