Vitalik Dmitrievich Buterin, widely known as Vitalik Buterin, is a prominent Canadian computer programmer and the co-founder of Ethereum, a groundbreaking blockchain platform. Born on January 31, 1994, in Kolomna, Russia, to a family with a background in computer science, Buterin’s early exposure to technology ignited his passion for coding and cryptocurrencies.

At the age of 17, Buterin learned about Bitcoin from his father, Dmitry, also a computer scientist. This introduction sparked his journey into the world of blockchain technology. Following his high school education, Buterin pursued his studies at the University of Waterloo, where he excelled in advanced courses and served as a research assistant to renowned cryptographer Ian Goldberg.
