Wawa Zainal

Wawa Zainal, born Nur Hawa binti Zainal Abidin, is a prominent Malaysian actress and model known for her versatile performances in both film and television. Coming from a multicultural background, Wawa is the eighth child in a family of eleven, hailing from a hybrid Filipino-Malaysian heritage. Her father is of Bruneian-Bajau descent, while her mother is Filipino Taus≈´g.

Wawa’s journey into the entertainment industry began early in her adolescence, starting as a model at the age of 12 before transitioning into acting. She made her acting debut under Metrowealth (MIG), notably starring in films and dramas produced by the company. Her breakthrough role came in the film “Sumpahan Kum Kum,” directed by Ismail Bob Hisham.

She gained further recognition for her roles in popular productions such as “99 Kali Rindu” (2013), “Aji Noh Motor” (2012), “Sabda Kekasih” (2021), and “Abnormal: Buas” (2024). Among her notable television appearances, Wawa is best known for portraying Bunga in the drama series “Ana Lu’lu.”
