Brandon Michael Hall is an American actor. He rose to stardom with his role as a series regular in the dark comedy Search Party. Hall’s natural instincts for comedy enabled him to gain lead roles in the television shows The Mayor and God Friended Me. The Mayor was critically acclaimed, and enabled Hall to flex his rapping, musical, and improvisational comedy skills. A keen writer of poetry, he took a role in writing and constructing the musical parts.
Born in Anderson, South Carolina, Hall had a greatly artistic upbringing, surrounded by musician and performers from a young age. As a youth, he was focused on the visual arts, but eventually decided to pursue a career in acting, with a speciality in music. He has had a rigorous education in the arts, attending a performing arts high school and then the prestigious Julliard School. After appearing in guest roles in shows such as Unforgettable and Broad City, his first professional break came when he was cast as a series regular in the dark comedy Search Party. He is a diverse and adaptive performer, and was cast in the film Always A Bridesmaid in 2019.
Beyond acting, Hall has expressed an interesting in directing and producing. He has a strong sense of community, and devotes time into working with the group Hashtag Lunchbag Brooklyn, which aims to feed those in Brooklyn who go without.
