English actress and singer Wendi Louise Peters has accrued a diverse range of film, television, radio, and stage credits over an illustrious career within the entertainment industry. Recognised widely for her portrayal of the underhanded Cilla Battersby-Brown on the long-running ITV soap opera, Coronation Street, and as Cook Jenkins in CBBC’s Hetty Feather, she has worked with notable figures like John Godber, Matthew Warchus, Terry Johnston, and Sir Jonathan Miller. Peters has twice performed solo pieces on BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night and taken the lead role in Mrs. Metheral in Harold Brighouse’s The Game, before portraying Dorothy Needham in Hatched ‘n’ Dispatched at The Park Theatre. Both performances received rave reviews.
Peters has appeared on several celebrity shows, including Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, Celebrity Mastermind, and Celebrity Chef, in which she reached the finals.
