Former goalkeeper Shay Given has been partnered with Amazon by MN2S for a campaign promoting the e-commerce giant’s launch in Ireland. To mark the occasion, Shay – alongside Westlife star Nicky Byrne and podcaster Vogue Williams – made some surprise Amazon deliveries across the country to members of the public, including vinyl records and signed footballs; a video was shared on Shay’s Instagram channel to his 96,000 followers. The launch follows Amazon’s establishment of a Dublin fulfilment centre in 2022, reinforcing its commitment to the Irish market. The company says the move will improve local shopping experiences, offering greater choice, convenience, and opportunities for Irish businesses to expand.
Shay Given is one of the finest goalkeepers to emerge from Ireland, known for his lightning-fast reflexes and commanding presence. A stalwart at Newcastle United for over a decade, he became a fan favorite with gravity-defying saves and remarkable consistency.
