Legendary DJ and music producer Armand Van Helden will perform live at Chelmsford City Racecourse on Saturday 30 August 2025, headlining the final night of the venue’s brand-new Summer Sessions series.
Known for his chart-topping hits and electrifying live sets, Van Helden is set to bring his unmistakable sound and energy to Essex for an unforgettable end-of-summer celebration.
With a career spanning decades, Van Helden stands as a true pioneer of electronic and house music. He’s the creative force behind global anthems including “U Don’t Know Me”, “My My My”, and “Bonkers” (with Dizzee Rascal), alongside era-defining remixes for artists such as Tori Amos, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, and David Guetta. His hit-making Duck Sauce project further cemented his status as dance music royalty.

About Summer Sessions
Summer Sessions is a new initiative from Chelmsford City Racecourse, adding live DJ performances to seven summer fixtures after racing concludes. Cross the DJ will hold a residency for the first six events before Armand Van Helden takes over the concert stage for the seventh and final night on 30 August.
