Audiomack joins forces with Beatdapp to fight streaming fraud and protect artist royalties with third-party verification.

Music streaming and discovery platform Audiomack has partnered with Beatdapp, a technology company focused on detecting and preventing streaming fraud. The collaboration introduces third-party verification across Audiomack’s platform, which reports over 40 million monthly users.

The partnership reflects a broader trend in the industry as platforms respond to the growing problem of fake streams. Streaming fraud can distort charts, impact algorithmic playlists, and undermine royalty reporting. Beatdapp previously estimated that fraudulent activity costs the music industry approximately $2 billion annually.

Audiomack’s integration of Beatdapp’s software will help identify artificial activity, including bot traffic and compromised user accounts. According to a press release, this fraud detection technology will directly influence Audiomack’s editorial decisions, including both internal and external chart placements, as well as algorithmic playlist inclusion.

Beatdapp’s technology is already being used by various music industry stakeholders, including Beatport – an important partner for MN2S and its clients – along with Boomy, Tuned Global, Hangout FM, The Mechanical Licensing Collective and Universal Music Group. The company claims its goal is to “revolutionize the music industry,” which is projected to reach 1.2 billion paid streaming subscribers and $75 billion in revenue by 2030.

Audiomack CEO Dave Macli emphasized the platform’s commitment to transparency and fair compensation. “We take our role in providing accurate royalty reporting very seriously for the benefit of every creator who earns income from our platform,” he said. “By partnering with Beatdapp, we have adopted the best-in-class technology from an impartial third party to demonstrate our commitment to both our creator and rights holder partners.”

Beatdapp Co-CEO Morgan Hayduk added that fraudulent streams can represent up to 25% of activity on some platforms. He described the partnership as a way to empower Audiomack with “sophisticated, unbiased fraud detection” to protect royalties and uphold platform integrity. Audiomack allows unlimited free uploads for artists and maintains licensing agreements with all three major labels and Merlin. By investing in third-party verification tools, the platform aims to enhance trust in its editorial processes and royalty payments.

As concerns around streaming fraud continue to mount, partnerships like this signal a growing industry-wide push for accountability and fairer outcomes for rights holders and creators alike. For MN2S and its partners, initiatives like this reinforce the importance of transparent data and fair royalty distribution across the digital music landscape.
