
Echoes of Soul is a newly-founded label focusing on delivering hard-hitting but soulful afro house tracks. With their second release arriving in August, we caught up with label head Jemilson Branco to find out more about the new release and their plans for the future.
How long has your label been in operation?
Echoes Of Soul has been in operation since 2024.
What inspired you to set up the label in the first place?
The inspiration to set up Echoes Of Soul came from a deep passion for music and a desire to create a platform that would support and showcase talented artists. I wanted to share the diverse and rich sounds that resonate with me and offer opportunities for artists to grow and reach new audiences.
How would you describe your musical philosophy and creative vision?
Our musical philosophy revolves around authenticity, creativity, and the power of music to connect people. We believe in pushing boundaries and exploring new sounds while staying true to the essence of the music. The creative vision for Echoes Of Soul is to be a hub for innovative and soulful music that speaks to the heart and soul of listeners.
Tell us about your first release – what was special about that one?
Our first release was a significant milestone for Echoes Of Soul. It was special because it marked the beginning of our journey and set the tone for the label’s direction. The project featured a unique blend of genres and showcased the talent and creativity of the artists involved. The positive reception and support from the music community were incredibly encouraging.
What’s been the highlight of your journey so far as a label?
One of the highlights of our journey has been witnessing the growth and success of our artists. Seeing them achieve their goals, gain recognition, and connect with fans worldwide is incredibly rewarding. Another highlight was hosting our first major event, which brought together a diverse lineup of artists and an enthusiastic audience, creating an unforgettable musical experience.

For anyone considering setting up their own imprint, my advice would be to stay true to your vision and passion. It’s important to have a clear understanding of your goals and the unique value your label brings to the music industry.
What lies ahead for your label in 2024 and beyond?
In 2024 and beyond, we plan to expand our roster of artists, explore new genres, and increase our global reach. We aim to host more live events and collaborations, providing platforms for emerging talents.
