A Miami-born deep house producer turning ancient myth into futuristic synth lines.
Mute Diver is a Miami-based deep house producer and DJ who has been building her sound since first sharing music on SoundCloud back in 2013. Her debut EP, Realms of Love, arrived as an electronic dance release built on breakbeats, dynamic synth-wave chords, samples, and driving rhythm, and early mixes like “Fallen Skies Air-Stryke” quickly found an audience online. She’s since self-released music on Spotify and landed a spot on Beige Records, releasing singles including “House” (2021), alongside a steadily growing Bandcamp catalogue that spans The Skyfall, The Dark Web, and Hyperdrive. She’s now finishing her new album, To Believe in Gods, inspired by ancient myth and belief, set for release on 31 August 2026. Mute Diver continues to work with MN2S Label Services for distribution, giving her music a clear path to reach listeners as the new album lands.
How did you get into music? What is your musical background?
“I’ve been a big fan of dance music for a while now. I started listening to Alesso and other DJs and I was really inspired to create something, an identity of my own. Then, I started learning to make music with a program called Sony Acid. From there, I began to learn the creation process and really enjoyed making music people could resonate with. I received a lot of good feedback. My musical background is based on learning on my own, by ear, and through an arts academy for music and sound design.”
Tell us about your first release and what was special about that one.
“My first EP entitled ‘Realms of Love’ is a melodic and energetic EP full of light and heavy waves of sound.”
Tell us about the latest project you worked on.
“I was drafting some ideas with a friend and started to talk about other dimensions and archaic origins of gods and nature. I thought it would be an interesting topic to think of people still believing in gods, like the days of Perseus and Hercules. I thought of it as romantic and beautiful.”
That idea became To Believe in Gods, Mute Diver’s forthcoming album. As she developed the concept, the sound evolved alongside it: “As I started to conceptualise ideas I thought of structure and different plug-ins which would create a super-human type of feel, with evolved electronic and synth lines that created a futuristic sound of evolution within each song.” She points to Miss Monique’s Subterranean, Charlotte de Witte’s earlier EPs, and the work of Anyma as touchstones during the writing process, alongside working through a period of emotional turmoil that ultimately shaped the record’s depth. The track “When the Bell Tolls” holds particular meaning for her, marking a personal milestone and a tribute to a close friend.
Could you describe your musical style and creative vision?
Mute Diver describes her process as bold and intuitive, building each track by leaning into what comes next rather than sticking to a fixed plan. She’s deeply hands-on with every part of the creative process, from structure to mixing, and finds inspiration in the people around her and the wider world. With To Believe in Gods, her aim is for listeners to walk away appreciating beauty and the emotional highs and lows we all share as human beings, and to find something to hold onto through them.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of entering the music industry?
“I would tell them that they should dedicate a lot of time to it. It is about passion and learning to push yourself creatively. It’s about creating and persevering through your hard work, but most of all learn to use your time wisely and have fun with what you do and the confidence to keep going even if you are rejected at first. If it is what you truly love, don’t give up, someone will reach out and help you along the way.”
