Legendary hip-hop duo Eric B and Rakim are to reunite for a full tour, 25 years after their last.

 
The hip-hop world is revelling in the news that hip-hop pioneers Eric B & Rakim are slated to undertake a full tour, starting next month. Kicking off on 8th April, the tour will see the duo playing venues across the USA, travelling from coast to coast by way of the southern states.

After officially breaking up in 1993, the rapper-DJ outfit reunited for an anniversary concert in June last year, to celebrate the anniversary of Paid in Full, widely considered to be Eric and Rakim’s best album. The show took place at The Apollo in New York City, and saw a rich roster of special guest appearances.

The 2018 tour was announced via Eric B & Rakim’s official Twitter account, which has remained mysteriously silent ever since, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the shows. Tickets are available now via StubHub, as are the tour dates in full.

With Eric B on the decks, Rakim changed the very nature of rap music. His intricate rhyming technique and flow inspired countless imitators, earning Rakim the well-deserved title of “your favourite rapper’s favourite rapper.”
